Angel Alcantara

On March 31 and April 2, Jim Jozefowicz hosted ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ economics alumna Angel Alcantara ’23 in his Advanced Econometrics course. An instructor in the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Department of School Psychology, Special Education, and Sociology, Alcantara taught the students Tableau, a data visualization tool, using tutorials published in the Journal of Economic Education (Batt et al., 2020).

After guiding the students through several applications of Tableau, Alcantara provided the students with an opportunity to experiment in Tableau using World Indicators data while she circulated through the classroom offering advice and answering questions.

The Department of Finance and Economics appreciates Alcantara’s willingness to share her expertise with current ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ students. Alcantara will graduate from ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ with an MS in Applied Mathematics in May 2025.
